Check In and Out of Your Projects

A New Way to Track Your Sessions

To improve your experience and streamline operations, all creators are required to check in upon arrival and check out once the session is complete.

đź’ˇ Tip: Make check-in and check-out part of your routine. Always check in when you arrive on site and check out before leaving.

Why is this important?

Checking in and checking out provide OCUS with real-time visibility into your session. This allows us to act quickly when needed and helps us:

  • Speed up contact no-show resolution, including processing your no-show fee requests more efficiently.
Improve communication with clients, reducing unnecessary back-and-forth and ensuring smoother coordination.
  • Collect valuable feedback about your on-site experience so we can continuously improve the platform.

⚠️ Important: You must check out immediately after the session ends. Skipping this step may result in:

  • A negative impact on your reliability rating.
  • Possible de-prioritization for future projects.
  • Longer payment processing times, as the project may require manual review.

How to check in and out?

Check-in details

The check-in option becomes available as your scheduled session time approaches.

  1. Once you are on site, tap “I am on site” to begin the check-in process.

  2. For regular on-site projects, take a picture of the storefront.
Note: For at-home projects (US only), take a photo of the food once it’s delivered.

  3. You can then begin your session with confidence, knowing OCUS has visibility over the project.

Report a contact no-show

If you encounter a contact no-show, you must first complete the check-in process and then report it directly from the project page.

Please refer to this guide to report a contact no-show.

Note: You must wait at least 20 minutes after the scheduled session time before reporting a contact no-show.

Check-out details

Check-out confirms that you have completed the project and properly closed the assignment. Like check-in, this is a mandatory step.

⚠️ Important: You must check out within a maximum of one hour after the scheduled end time of the session.

When you have finished your session:

  1.  Tap "End Project" to officially mark it as complete.
  2. Submit a session review to share how the shoot went and highlight any important details.
  3. Upload your media before midnight on the day of the project (If you experience any technical problems during upload, please refer to our article on Uploading Media Issues: What to Do).

Your feedback matters. This process ensures you receive the best possible support while making session management more efficient for everyone.
