Setting Your Project Preferences (Location)

Preferences define where and how you want to work. They filter what you see in the Browse tab and help OCUS match you with relevant projects.

How It Works

Go to Settings → Project Preferences.

Fill in the fields:

  • Name → Give your preference a clear name (e.g., Vienna).
  • Location → Select the address (e.g street or city) where you’re most active.
  • Compensation → You can set minimum and maximum rates.
  • Distance → Define how far you’re willing to travel (default is 10 km).
  • Smart Matching → Turn this on to let the platform automatically assign shoots that match your preferences. Remember: even with the smart matching on, you will always have the final say before accepting any project.

💡Tip: Consider leaving the compensation field blank at first to see all projects in your area.

⚠️ If you keep the distance at 10 km, this may greatly reduce the number of projects available.

Why It Matters

  • Ensures you only see projects in areas where you want to work.
  • Gives you control over the travel distance and compensation that suit you.
  • Smart Matching saves time by automatically reserving relevant projects.

Coming soon: You will receive location-based notifications when new projects become available in your selected area, helping you avoid missing nearby opportunities.
