Welcome to the OCUS Creator community!
We understand that flexibility is important, and not every creator works with OCUS full-time. That is why we make it easy for you to share your availability using the OCUS calendar.
Here is how to make the most of this feature.
What Is Creator Availability?
Availability allows you to indicate in advance when you are open to working on OCUS projects.
Whether you are balancing other commitments or planning specific days ahead, setting your availability helps us match you with relevant opportunities without limiting your flexibility.
Why Set Your Availability?
Keeping your calendar updated is essential because it:
- Focuses on relevant projects → You are offered projects that fit your schedule.
- Improves recommendations → Our system prioritizes creators with updated calendars, providing more tailored opportunities.
- Optimizes your OCUS experience → You stay aligned with projects that match your preferences and lifestyle.
The process is quick, flexible, and non-binding. Your availability indicates when you are open to receiving project proposals, but you always have the final decision before accepting any assignment.
💡 Tip: The more days you mark as available, the more opportunities you may receive. Availability can only be set up to 2 weeks in advance to ensure it reflects your actual schedule.
How the OCUS Calendar works?
Setting your availability
Access the Calendar from your OCUS dashboard.
Add a slot by clicking on a specific date or dragging to select a time range when you are available. You can set your schedule up to 2 weeks in advance and should update it regularly.
You will see three options:
- Yes → Available all day (7:00–22:00).
- No → Not available.
- Custom → Select specific time slots during the day when you are available.
At the top right corner, you will see an availability counter (for example, 11/14). This indicates how many of the next 14 days you have filled in.
To edit a slot, drag the edges of the time block up or down.
To remove a slot, click on the availability block and delete it if your plans change.
Availability options explained
No matter which option you select, you will always have the final decision before accepting a project. Availability guides the matching process and helps keep opportunities aligned with your real schedule.
Available all day (“YES”)
What it means: You are available and open to projects for the full day.
Example: Marking Monday as “Yes” (7:00–22:00) indicates you are available at any time during that day.
Why it matters: The more days you mark as available, the more opportunities you can unlock. Creators with more complete calendars are prioritized and may receive more consistent project proposals.
⚠️ Important: Marking “Yes” is not legally binding, but it should be treated seriously, as it is the primary signal used to propose relevant opportunities.
Not Available (“NO”)
What it means: You are not available to work on projects on that day.
Example: Marking Friday as “No” indicates that you are unavailable for projects on that date.
Why it matters: It helps you avoid receiving project proposals that do not fit your schedule. However, you can still manually apply to projects if your availability changes.
Custom Times
What it means: You are available for only part of the day.
Example: Marking Wednesday as “8:00–12:00” indicates you are available only in the morning.
Why it matters: Instead of blocking the entire day, you remain visible for opportunities during the hours you are genuinely available.
💡 Tip: Use custom time slots when balancing OCUS with other professional or personal commitments to ensure you do not miss projects that fit perfectly into your schedule.
Why keeping your calendar updated matters
- Unlock more opportunities. While you can still see all available projects, maintaining an updated calendar ensures you are offered assignments that match your actual availability.
- Stay in control. Availability does not automatically confirm a project. You always decide whether to accept or decline.
- Save time. An accurate calendar improves the matching process and ensures the opportunities you receive are relevant.
- Build trust. Reliable availability demonstrates professionalism and contributes to a smoother experience for both you and our clients.
💡 Tip: Aim to keep your availability counter as close to 14/14 as possible. A complete calendar maximizes your visibility and reduces the risk of missing relevant project opportunities.
Making availability management part of your regular OCUS routine will help you receive better-matched projects, streamline your workflow, and stay aligned with the fast-paced opportunities within our community.
