Welcome to OCUS. To make the most of your journey as a creator, follow these tips and best practices. These simple steps will help you unlock the full potential of the platform and ensure a smooth and rewarding experience.
1. Get your settings and preferences right
Update Your Details
Go to Settings and make sure your profile information is accurate and complete. This allows us to tailor the platform to your needs and connect you with relevant projects.
Set Your Project Preferences
Define the types of projects you are interested in to personalize your OCUS experience. With the right preferences in place, you will only see projects that match your interests and location.
2. Request New Skills
Your eligibility for projects depends on your verified skills.
You can browse all available projects, but you can only assign yourself to those that match your verified skills.
To expand your opportunities, request a new skill verification directly in Settings.
Stay proactive: the more verified skills you have, the more opportunities you can access.
3. Keep your availability up-to-date
The OCUS calendar is designed for short-term planning and allows you to set your availability for the next 14 days.
To maximize its benefits:
- Update your availability regularly and make it part of your daily OCUS routine.
- Ensure your calendar accurately reflects the time you can commit to projects.
Keeping your availability updated helps us match you with projects that fit your schedule.
4. OCUS Notifications and Messages: Stay Informed & Ready
To ensure smooth communication, OCUS uses multiple channels to send important notifications related to your projects and preferences.
Platform Notifications

- Project reminders or upcoming deadlines.
- Alerts about changes to your assignments.
- New project opportunities that match your preferences (coming soon).
Make it a habit to check your OCUS dashboard regularly to stay informed.
External Notifications

- Email, for detailed updates regarding projects, account changes, or important information.
To avoid missing important messages:
- Keep your phone number and email address updated in Settings.
- Check your spam or junk folder periodically to ensure our emails are delivered correctly.
We limit external communication to essential messages only, so you are not overwhelmed with unnecessary notifications.
Why Staying Updated Matters
- Never miss an opportunity. Notifications help you respond quickly to relevant projects.
Meet deadlines and maintain a strong reliability rating. - Stay informed about any changes that may affect your assignments.
5. Keep Your Commitments and Deliver Promptly
Reliability is essential within the OCUS community.
Frequent rescheduling or unassigning from projects can negatively impact both clients and your rating. These actions should only be used in exceptional circumstances.
Make sure to complete all project milestones and upload your media before the deadline.
Your overall rating plays an important role in the matching algorithm. Higher ratings increase your chances of receiving more project recommendations. Prioritize professionalism, punctuality, and timely delivery.
At every stage of a project:
- Be punctual.
- Communicate clearly and promptly.
- Deliver high-quality work on time.
Consistency and reliability will strengthen your reputation and maximize your opportunities on the platform.
